Christopher Robin Sapp grew up in Calhoun, Georgia for the first eighteen years of his life, where he played a crucial role in the local public school’s band, chorus, and theatre programs all the while living there. It was in these years he discovered the potential of his musical ability as a singer and a multi instrumentalist as well as his passion for live theatre and live performance in general.
Knowing his true passions, the next four years at the University of Georgia pursuing a bachelor of music in voice performance (as well as being a multi-instrumentalist amongst many different local Athens, Georgia bands) were very rewarding times. During his time there, Christopher was able to perform some of his most beloved rolls, including Matt in The Fantasticks, Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd, Thomas Andrews in Titanic: The Musical, and Jamie Wellerstein in The Last Five Years. He was also a member of multiple bands, playing in many of the most notable venues in Athens, Georgia.
After finishing at the undergraduate level, Christopher went immediately on to New York University to receive a masters of music in voice performance and an advanced certificate in voice pedagogy. This dual degree gave him the insight he needed to really understand the voice and how to work with it as a voice teacher. His time in New York has also allowed him to continue to master his abilities on the various instruments he plays.
Professionally, Christopher has worked for College Light Opera Company, Ohio Light Opera, Victor Herbert Renaissance Project, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Disney Cruise Line, Argyle Theatre, and is currently a swing in the Broadway National Tour of Les Misérables for the foreseeable future. He is represented by Avalon Artists Group.
